I live in a community where memories and Memory are a constant topic of conversation. Food memories, lost names, uncertain memories.  Some memories emerge, like seeds finally germinating.  Others remain buried or close to the surface…”it’s coming to me.”  We experience feelings of relief when something long forgotten is remembered, because memories differentiate us and define us.
